Caring for our estate together

Keeping Gogarloch green & well kept

We are a volunteer-led association looking after the parks, verges and pathways that make Gogarloch a pleasant place to live.

Who we are

Gogarloch Community Park Association (GCPA) is a volunteer-led group, run since 2012 by residents just like you. Everything we do is for the benefit of every household on the estate.

The title deeds for properties on the estate include a responsibility for the upkeep of the estate common ground. GCPA exists to fulfil that responsibility on behalf of the community — organising the maintenance, managing the money transparently, and keeping our shared spaces looking their best.

What we do

The Association plans and manages a full programme of estate maintenance throughout the year. We create the maintenance schedules and plans, then issue them to contractors who carry out the work to an agreed standard.

1

Plan

We set out the yearly maintenance programme for the estate.

2

Issue

Plans and schedules are issued to our contractors.

3

Complete

Contractors carry out the work to an agreed standard.

Our annual programme covers grass cutting, hedge trimming, lawn edging, kerb cleaning and general upkeep — totalling around 70 working days of maintenance across the estate every year.

How we work

Every penny collected goes directly towards maintenance work — nothing else. All spending decisions are made collectively by the committee, and no single person can authorise a payment alone.

We hold our Annual General Meeting at the end of each year, and minutes are circulated to all paying member residents. You’re always welcome to attend, raise ideas, or join the committee yourself.
